Additional Property Attributes

Property is located along U.S.-10 in a high traffic area between Baldwin and Ludington, Michigan. The subject property is developed and occupied by a two story commercial building located on the southwest corner of the property. To the east of the building is a steel constructed canopy covering the former gasoline pump islands. The area of the subject property surrounding the building and the canopy consisted of asphalt and concrete pavement with some gravel parking areas. The presences of four underground storage tanks (USTs) were also noted immediately to the north of the canopy. A heating oil aboveground storage tank (AST) was also noted along the northern wall of the building. The remaining majority of the subject property located to the north of the building and canopy consisted of undeveloped woodland.

Former Use: The subject property has been developed since 1938 and was originally used as a residence. In the mid 1970s the subject property was converted to the operation of a gasoline filling station. Over the years there have been several additions to the original structure. The proeprty was operated as a gasoline filling station until at least the early to mid 1990s. The subject property was closed and eventually foreclosed on. The subject property has remained unused since the time of foreclosure.
