Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property was part of the former parcel owned by the Columbus Clay manufacturing Company, which operated a clay pit manufacturing facility. The clay/brick manufacturing facility was leased and used as a demolition landfill in 1973. The Property was issued a solid waste disposal license by the Ohio EPA in May 1975. The Bedford II landfill reportedly accepted waste until August 1978. The landfill operated for a period of approximately 5 years and was closed in 1978. In 1978, the Property was split from the larger parcel and obtained by the Gahanna Community Improvement Corporation in 1978. The property was eventually obtained by the City of Gahanna.
