Additional Property Attributes

In February 2007 the long term leasee aquired the Property and is currently in negotiations to sell the Property for redevelopment.

Former Use: The Property is currently owned by the City of Gahanna. The Gahanna Improvement Corporation purchased the property from the Columbus Clay Manufacturing Company on June 28, 1978. A review of the Franklin County Records Office�s website indicated that the Columbus Clay Manufacturing Company owned the property since 1906 when it was acquired from Andre Morrison and Cynthia M. Morrison. The Property was undeveloped until the Property became a wood preserving facility operated from the late 1970�s until 2003. According to previous Environmental Reports for the Property, in 2002 the treatment product was changed to an alkaline copper quaternary (�Quat�) product. In 2003 Wood preserving operations ceased at the Property. Above ground storage tanks as well as underground storage tanks were previously located on the Property.
