Additional Property Attributes

This very visible property on a major route has been unused since over 40 years. Numerous attempts to sell the property failed due to concerns about the type of debris and past uses which indicated the possibility of contamination. The assessment turned up some lead in the soils, but it was very localized and probably related to building demolition on site. No other concerns were found. This led to the sale of the property and it is now in the redevelopment phase by a landscaping company. The company is investing $180,000 in the development of the property. This does not include the purchase price of the land (or the adjacent parcel which was combined in the redevelopment). They have added 7 new jobs as a result of their relocation and expansion at this site.

Former Use: Residential home burned in 1960's. Since that time significant debris has been present on site both related to the fire and in general (old drums, car parts etc.). Prior to that gasoline station and auto repair uses were present in 1920's - 1940's.
