Removed asbestos from vibration dampers in the boiler room and floor tiles, mastic, and transite siding from the outside portable building. Lead dust, lead containing sand, and acoustical noise dampers were removed from the indoor firing range. The walls, floor, and ceiling in the indoor firing range were HEPA vacuumed and sealed. Lead-based paint was removed from the drill floor.

THE ARMORY CONSISTS OF A 17,178 SQ.FOOT BUILDING CONSTRUCTED IN 1981 AND ASSOCIATED PARKING AREAS NORTH AND NORTHEAST OF THE ARMORY. The armory was remodeled to be used by a commercial business. The commercial business vacated the armory and now the city is remodeling so the facility can be used as a police station. The UST was removed 9-22-93. The cleanup date used in ACRES is for the asbestos, LBP, and lead dust cleanup.

Former Use: SE1/4 SW1/4 SECTION 8 T7N R7W IM, Grady County. Formerly owned by the City of Chickasha and leased to the Oklahoma Military Department under a 50 year lease agreement. Served as National Guard Armory from 1981-2006 for the 45th Field Artillery Brigade.
