Additional Property Attributes

Property is located along the US Highway 30 realignment corridor. Iowa Department of Transportation acquired the property in 2007 for the highway realignment. When the new westbound alignment of Highway 30 is complete estimate end 2013, the property will be sold for commercial redevelopment. Property received Leaking Underground Storage Tank no action required from Iowa DNR in 1998. Based on data gathered during this Phase I ESA, the environmental contractor recommended Phase II Environmental Site Assessment to address the historical use of hazardous substances related to servicing automobiles, not previously accessed by prior investigations prior.

Former Use: The subject site is generally located at the southeast corner of Camanche Avenue and 24th Place. One commercial building is situated on the parcel containing 0.62 acre. The commercial building is used for the operation of Ross Motors. The site was a residence from circa 1925 to circa 1955. From circa 1960 to 1990, the subject property is used as a gas and service station. From circa 1995 through June 2007, the property is listed as Ross Motors, auto repair, service and sales.
