Institutional and Engineering Controls

Yes
Information Devices
Based on the existing site data, AMEC recommends the CSKT implement the following institutional controls at the site Elmo Cash Store and Joseph Allotment property to protect human health at this time. A deed restriction should be placed on the property that:
1. Prohibits the use of shallow groundwater below the site for drinking water purposes. Data shows that the deeper aquifer present at approximately 155 feet below ground surface, is not impacted by the release at the site.
2. Requires the installation of vapor barriers and sub-slab depressurization systems for any buildings constructed at the site.
3. Prohibits basements for newly constructed buildings.

Once CSKT Tribal Council has approved AMEC Recommended Institutional Controls for the Elmo Cash Store property, I will up-date the ACRES Data.
