Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The site is currently a vacant lot owned by Mr Charles Statton. The terrain is generally flat with a slight regional slope towards the south-southeast. The Facility is located in the SW � of the SE � of Section 33, Township 1 North, Range 3 West, Willamette Meridian in Hillsboro, Oregon. The properties in the vicinity are commercial. Cornelius Fast Serve, an active gasoline station, is located about 100 feet north of the Site at the northwest corner of the intersection of North Adair and North 10th Avenue. ESTBY, another active gasoline station, is present about 100 feet southeast of the Site at the southeast corner of the intersection of West Baseline and North 10th Avenue. The property at the southwest corner of West Baseline and North 10th Avenue is vacant. The property at the northeast corner of West Baseline and North 10th is developed as a commercial building and includes storefronts that house a market, a beauty supply store, and a clothing store. Two Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUST) files were associated with the ETSBY property. It is likely that groundwater contamination is present associated with the ETSBY property, but the extent is not known. The City of Cornelius fire chief reported that a gasoline station had at one time time been present at the site, although was not aware of the time period in which the gas station was active. Historical aerial photogaphs show a small building present on the site in the 1950's and 1960's that was removed by the 1970's.
