Property Highlights

Former Use: This property is a commercial building currently operating as a deli/store. The property was developed in the 1950's as an Esso gas station. The current owners were unaware of any contamination when they purchased the property, as the property had ceased to operate as a gas station and had been sold a number of times. The contamination was discovered during a Phase I assessment conducted as part of an SBA loan application. No information was found to document the removal of underground storage tanks, and temporary wells and soil sampling results exceeded soil and groundwater standards, indicating a release or threat of release of petroleum substances. The contamination is presumed to be from the time of property operated as a gas station.
