Additional Property Attributes

The site is located in a former oil field and per historic aerial images, produced water pits were present on the site in the past. These pits led to petroleum contamination in soil and groundwater at the site. Soil contamination was below the threshold for cleanup. Using a restrictive covenant, groundwater usage is restricted on the property due to high levels of chlorides left in place. Otherwise, no other contaminants exceed the protective concentration levels for the given site use.

Former Use: Former oil and gas lease. Oil wells, tank batteries and pits for disposal of waste were present.

Dickinson ISD is currently evaluating potential redevelopment plans for the property, such as a new school or administrative buildings for staff.
