Former Use: The Property is currently vacant and includes a partially demolished limestone block building (the walls are still intact but the roof has been removed.) The Property is located in a mixed land use area that includes commercial and residential properties, and is bounded by the following: a former automobile repair garage and restaurant/bar to the north; Carthage Avenue to the east; a residence to the south; and a residence to the west. Approximately 65 years ago the founder of a local exterminating company used the building to produce and package rodenticide containing arsenic. The company ceased operations in 1974 and the building has since remained unoccupied. Based on documents from the Hamilton County Recorder�s Office, it is unclear when or if the Rose Exterminator Company, or associated parties, actually owned the Property. The Property is currently owned by the trust of Mr. John Rogers, who passed away in October 2007.
