Additional Property Attributes

Potential presence of 8-10 USTs; some of these may have been removed or closed in place around 1990. Former presence of rubber cement manufacturing and solvent storage. Coal yards have also historically been located on the property. There is an extensive natural limestone cavern system below the Site and connected to a larger cavern which extends north and east of the Site. Multiple ASTs. Lead was the only contaminant detected at levels above Missouri Risk-Based Corrective Action most conservative Default Target Levels.

Former Use: Site consists of 27 buildings and gravel and asphalt parking areas on a pie-shaped lot. The site was used by the Lemp Brewing Company from the late 1800s-1925 and then the International Shoe Company for manufacturing and warehousing from 1925-1980. Since 1980 the site has been used by various tenants for light industrial, commercial, and warehousing uses, office spaces, and artist studios.
