There is a concern that contaminants from the landfill immediately to the South may have migrated into the ground water at the site. Brigham City Redevelopment Agency RDA entered into an agreement with Box Elder County subordinating the property to the RDA. The RDA would like to have commercial development on the site, such as hotel and retail stores. A TBA was completed by UDEQ/DERR on 10 Oct 2007 PPF - 10/16/2008.

Former Use: Mostly vacant land with a horse track located on the parcel since the early 1970s. The property lies immediately North of the former County landfill. Operations at the former landfill ceased in 1997.
