Property Highlights

Abandoned well found during site excavation in November of 2008. Soil contamination around well made contact with groundwater. City of Oklahoma City needed the well to be addressed so that construction of the Fire Station could begin in May 2009.

Former Use: The site has 7 oil wells located on or near it. We have identified aerial photos showing above ground tanks on the property in 1941. There is also a case of groundwater contamination on the southeast adjacent property. Sanborn maps of the area indicate that a illuminating gas manufaturing plant was located on the site in 1922.
