Additional Property Attributes

The City of Elkhart acquired this property in 2006, when the local VFW, who had owned the property for 15 years vacated the property. The city picked the property up through foreclosure. The city owned the property in the 1970s and transferred the property to the VFW. Prior to the 1970s the site had been used for numerous purposes including residential, a church, an automotive repair facility, anda gasoline filling station. The gasoline station was present in the early 1990s.
