Additional Property Attributes

Recognized environmental conditions were identified at the site based on information obtained through the review of historical records and interviews. The Phase I report recommended a ground penetrating radar survey be conducted to determine if a UST is present beneath the accessible portions of the site. In addition, a subsurface investigation of the property should be conducted to evaluate the soil and groundwater underlying the property for releases that may have occurred at the site. As for Fall 2010, the Town of Greenfield had a prosective buyer for this surplus property that was seeking more information before purchasing the site. A GPR survey was conducted in December 2010. No USTs were identified. The Town sold the site to a family in July 2011, that has constructing a home on the site.

Former Use: Located in an urban residential neighborhood, the property is known to have a historical use as a filling station and automotive repair shop. The property is currently vacant of structures and is owned by the Town of Greenfield.
