Additional Property Attributes

The subject Property was historically part of a large railroad switch yard. Spills or leaks from railroad cars have the potential of causing contamination of surrounding soils. The fill material underlying both the URM tract and UP tract appeared dark colored. Fill material used by teh railroad has the potential to be contaminated depending on it's origin. Fill material used by the railroad has the potential to be contaminated depending on it's origin. Fill materials used by the railroad on other area switch yards have been found to contain polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). Herbicides used fo rweed control along the railroad tracks may also be present.

Former Use: The URM tract land is owned by teh City of North Little Rock. The Second tract consists of 0.89 acres which was formerly part of a Union Pacific Railroad switch yard. A site plan and legal description are provided in the appendices. The Northern portion of the URM tract is developed with a single-story, 18,000 square foot building. The building has an address of 615 Magnolia Street. The building wwwas previously used teh URM as a homeless shelter. The shelter closed on October 1, 2004. An asphalt parking lot is located east of the building. The concrete foundations from a previous structure are located west of the building. The southern poriton of the property is not developed.
