Additional Property Attributes

Property was used for a small landfill for materials from an adjacent chemical plant. High levels of arsenic originating from the landfill were later discovered. The landfill materials and most of the arsenic-contaminated soils were removed as part of a removal action. Some contaminated soils were left in place with a cap. Earlier uses were limited to agricultural and residential. Most of the site is forested and all of it is vacant.

Former Use: Property is vacant and mostly forested. Past owners have included Newport Chemical, DuPont, and the Boerke Trust
