Former Use: The Subject Site is a somewhat rectangular area of approximately 22.0 acres running southwest to northeast. The Tucumcari Truck Terminal was operated continuously since construction of the first truck stop structures in 1958 located in Area A up until the Terminal�s closure in approximately 2004. During the 1950s there was also a drive-in theater located in the vicinity of Areas B and C. The Phillips and Shipley families owned the property as a corporation that they had formed in the mid 1950s. Mr. Shipley was the last Shipley family owner before his interests in the Subject Site were bought by the Phillips family in approximately 1999.
