Additional Property Attributes

The Subject Property is an L-shaped parcel located at the southeast corner of N. Pearl Street and E. Pierce Street in Macomb, Illinois. The Subject Property is bordered to the north by a residential neighborhood, to the south by a parking lot and Burlington Northern railroad tracks, to the east by a small vehicle maintenance garage, and to the west by a commercial office building housing four tenants. The Subject Property is currently vacant and is mostly grassy with some small areas containing dirt and gravel. The Subject Property is located in a generally commercial-industrial area and is surrounded by residential areas. The Subject Property is the site of former oil and fuel storage and loading operations; however, all buildings and oil/fuel storage tanks once present on the Subject Property have been demolished and removed. Phase I, Phase II, CSIR/ROR/RAP was prepared and the property was entered into the IEPA site remediation program. IEPA issued a draft NFR letter for th site October 12, 2012.

Former Use: AAI compliant Phase I ESA completed August 2011. Phase II investigation QAPP and SAP submitted with approval from Illinois EPA and Jan Pels. Field work conducted the week of 10/10/11. Analytical results indicate BTEX and some metals. Prepared figures and tables to discuss finalizing the project or conducting additional investigation. Determined to finalize report using information currently available and submit the site into the SRP program. The CSIR and ROR went to EPA/IEPA on April 19. IEPA said it was good for enrollment and WESTON submitted the DRM-1/DRM-2 forms signed by the Mayor of Macomb and the CSIR/ROR to SRP on May 18th. Several discussions with the IEPA PM with some additional deliverables being provided. Draft NFR letter received from IEPA on 11/7/2012.
