Additional Property Attributes

The village of Allakaket is located on the south bank of the Koyukuk River, approx. 190 air miles northwest of Fairbanks, AK. The village suffered severe flood damage in August 1994. Damage to fuel storage facilities, tanks and pipelines resulted in fuel contaminated soil in many parts of the community however, the extent of contamination had not been assessed prior to 2010. In addition to damage and fuel spills caused by the 1994 flood, numerous spills have reportedly occurred prior to and after that incident.

Former Use: Originally developed in 1994, the current generator building was constructed in 2006. replacing the original structure.
