Additional Property Attributes

The vacant subject property is located within a residential/commercial use zone in a community comprised primarily of low to moderate income residences - approximately a mile north of the Caribbean Ocean and less than one mile from the Maunabo River. A portion of the facility was historically used as a truck terminal for the hauling of sugar cane to other mills. The Columbia railroad that passes west of lot C-5 operated until 1958. The property is also located near the Maunabo Area Groundwater Contamination Superfund Site. RUins of the mill remain on the subject property.

Former Use: Historically used as a sugar mill and plantation. Early 1970s, the property was segregated into lots, owned by various parties, including the municipal government.
