Additional Property Attributes

A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, performed by the site owner, identified RECs related to known surface soil contamination near a former boiler room, potential subsurface soil contamination related to incinerator ash, which may have been used as fill, the past presence of large above-ground storage tanks, and surface soil petroleum contamination which may or may not be associated with the tanks. A field sampling plan was prepared to further assess the RECs identified. The project was cancelled by the U.S. EPA before the sampling plan was implemented.

Former Use: 1897-1950 part of Fort Armstrong; 1950-1979 warehouse and housed large above-ground storage tanks; and 1979-present temporary vehicle storage, vacant, and leased out.
