Additional Property Attributes

The property is undeveloped, densely wooded land located in a mixed residential-commercial, urban area. The central portion of the site formerly operated as a truck transfer facility which produced extensive dumping along the western slope of the property. Piles of automobile tires were noted on the western and sw portions of the property during the Phase I investigation. Additionally, the road that enters the property from the north side was used by a trucking company in the 1990's to dump large amount of construction debris (rumored to be the debris from the former Fulton County Baseball Stadium which was demolished for the 1996 Olympics). A large mound of construction debris was identified during the Phase II investigation. NW that is currently blocked by a locked, gated fence. One of the parcels formerly operated as a truck/transfer facility which produced "extensive dumping along the western slope of the property". During site reconnaissance, piles of automobile tires were noted on the western and southwestern portions of the property. Additionally, the road that enters the property from the north side was used by a trucking company in the 1990's to dump large amount of construction debris, rumored to be the remnants of the original Fulton County Stadium construction debris from the demolition of the stadium prior to the 1996 Olympics. EPA R4 will conduct subsequent Phase II and will update results to this record.

Former Use: Most of the parcels, except 170225LL0400 are owned by the City of Atlanta; exception is owned by the Housing Authority. Historic reports indicate site may have been a construction dump site.
