Additional Property Attributes

Part of the area assessed is an existing park/playground and the remainder is an abandoned church. RECs largely based on off-site conditions which could have an impact on the site. The church building needs to be assessed for LBP, ACM and possible PCBs associated with old electrical equipment. The Atlanta Beltline will purchase this property, demolish the church and redevelop the entire area assessed as a park/greenspace.

Former Use: The combined parcels occupy 6.13 acres. The church building is no longer in use and the remainder of the site is currently a city park. It was once planned for development as a neighborhood until Interstate 20 was constructed just to the north. The neighborhood was never constructed so the park has been open, greenspace for many years. Atlanta Beltline plans to procure church and park, demolish church, and redevelop entire 6.13 acres as park/greenspace. Phase II assessment shows minimal ACM and LBP which will be addressed during demolition.
