Additional Property Attributes

The Site is located at 1196 6th Street in Wells, Elko County, Nevada, on Assessor�s Parcel Number (APN) 002-760-005. The Site contains a 1,142 square-foot (ft2) commercial structure built in 1967 that occupies the southeastern portion of the 0.87-acre parcel. Since 2013, the property has been owned by Mr. Harpal Singh. The Site is bordered to the west, southwest, and southeast by large parcels containing a storage shed and Bottari Realty, Inc. office (1222 6th Street); to the northeast by a Quiznos restaurant, All American Tire and Sundance Shell (1237 6th Street); and to the north and northwest by undeveloped land owned by the City of Wells.

Former Use: According to the Elko County Assessor�s Office, the Site was originally developed in 1967 with the current commercial structure. Based on historical records, the Site was a service station with three USTs, one 4,000-gallon and two 8,000-gallon tanks. The USTs were installed in 1973 by Bonus International. The service station was operated by Humboldt Oil from 1973 to 1991, and by Peterson Oil (under a lease agreement) from 1991 until 1992, when the station was closed. By 1994, Sagebrush Oil Company owned and operated the Site. In 1995, the USTs were decommissioned and removed. Following the closure of the service station in 1992, the commercial structure on the Site was used as a barber shop and is currently being used as a liquor store.
