Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The former Cotton Gin site is surrounded by industrial and residential properties. The site contains two metal buildings, one brick building, and two canopies. The site is contained by a chain-link fence. Currently the site is used as a storage area for maintenance equipment and supplies. There is also a fuel station on site that is used for refueling city vehicles. The Phase I ESA found the following RECs: Two former USTs installed in 1978 and listed as out of service in 1997 with no removal date listed in historical records. Oil releases and a concrete pit inside the gin building filled with used oil were observed during site inspection. A former bulk petroleum storage facility is located north of the site in a topographically up-gradient position to the site. Potential for vapor intrusion into onsite buildings due to the likelihood of onsite hydrocarbons in subsurface from multiple sources.
