EPA tasked Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team under Contract 68HE0519D0005, Task Order Line Item No. F01070001AI078 to assist the City of Minnetonka with the Opus Business Park Area planning for development of Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR). The AUAR was required by the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board to review anticipated residential, commercial, warehousing, and light industrial development areas. An AUAR is a substitute for an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) or an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that is required for areas meeting the thresholds (i.e.,constructing a new warehousing or light industrial facility in excess of 300,000 square feet ora commercial facility of over 200,000 square feet in a City of under 20,000 population, more than 80 acres of development, more than one lane-mile of collector highway, etc.) as set forthby the MEQB and/or the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
