Additional Property Attributes

The subject property used to operate as an elderly care facility offering services which included nutrition, health, social work, and recreation. The subject property is approximately 0.3 acres. The structure was demolished due to repairs performed to an underground sanitary pipe running below the property. During the repair work, the south portion of the building was destroyed to access the pipe. As a result, most of the roof of the building was destroyed/removed and left open to the elements, including the east side walls, which allow open access to the building. After Hurricane Maria and repairs that were performed the property has been used as dumping grounds. Potential debris/waste related to the repairs was also observed at site. The community, a non-profit organization and government to install a chain link fence have limited the illegal dumping. However, the building is intermittently occupied by trespassers, presumably for drug use, based on the amount of drug-related paraphernalia found.
