Additional Property Attributes

Site to be converted into a community center. The association was successful in winning an EPA Brownfields Cleanup grant in FY2007, with cleanup being expected to commence in the last quarter of 2008.

Former Use: Seven concrete buildings, used as a public school from 1952 to 1989. Now vacant, site was donated to the Association by the Natchitoches Parish School Board, to be converted into a community center. The main building is listed as a national historic site.
