Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The property is currently located in an industrial mill area dominated by structures built in the mid to late 1800's. The property was first developed in 1866 and used for paper manufacturing by the Franklin Paper Company 1966-1971. From 1971, Hallmark Van Lines used the property for warehousing and taxi services. Auto repair work reportedly occurred at the property as part of the taxi service operations. A large portion of the property is currently occupied by a vacant building damaged by fire in 1996. Since the fire in 1996, the building has remained vacant. The two-story building occupies 45,000 square feet and includes a basement area. Portions of the building are not intact and is unsafe due to structural concerns caused by the fire. The City Building Commissioner has condemned the building and the building is fenced and secured.
