Additional Property Attributes

Troy, NH and surrounding areas have suffered significant loss in employment opportunities since the former textile mill closed several years ago. The mill complex has been underutilized ever since. Redevelopment of this property is expected to provide approximately 350,000 sq. ft. of usable town center space including 100-110 "over 55" residential condominium units, office units, restaurants, a theater, health club, and grocery store. Leveraged construction costs are estimated at 40 million.

Former Use: From the late 1890's until the 1930's, mill operations consisted of the manufacturing of wool horse blankets. In the 1930's, operations shifted to the manufacture of non-woven fabrics for use in automobiles and other purposes. Troy Mills, Inc. filed for bankruptcy protection in October 2001 and closed its doors. The mill complex is currently unoccupied.
