Additional Property Attributes

The defined assessment location shall be used as a trailhead facility for the National Road Heritage Trail, a backone facility for Terre Haute's greenway system and a State of Indiana "Visionary Trail" corridor extending from the Indiana-Illinois border to the Indiana-Ohio border.

Former Use: The Site is located at 801 North 25th Street, Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. The Site includes 9.61 acres of land identified by parcel identification number 84-06-23-226-002.000-002. The Site is currently vacant but was formerly occupied by Penn Central Rail yard. The Site consists of trees and mowed grass, and the Heritage Trail traverses through the eastern and southern portions of the Site. Two weathered concrete pads were noted on the western portion of the Site. Additionally, according to Mr. Pat Martin and previous reports, eight groundwater monitoring wells are located on the western half of the Site.
