The property is currently owned by A.R. Sandri, Inc. There is one building on the property that is vacant. The owner plans to donate the property to the Village of Saxtons River a municipality. The Village would like to demolish the building and, combined with some adjacent properties, create a park or green space.

Former Use: The property is currently owned by A.R. Sandri, Inc. The owner plans to donate the property to the Village of Saxtons River a municipality. The subject property has been used for a variety of business functions in the past which include a black smith shop and feed mill, meat market, auto repair, and a gas station. There was a known release from an underground storage tank on the property in 1989. The tank was removed and active remediation was conducted. The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation is overseeing a voluntary annual groundwater monitoring. PCE has been documented in area bedrock supply wells. Source never confirmed but believed to be emanating from off Sandri site. A Corrective Action Plan is currently being developed with VT DEC and regional commission funds.
