Additional Property Attributes

This was a joint brownfields project between DES and North Country Council. DES assessed/removed the tanks and NCC completed the rest of the Phase I and II activities. The environmental cleanup work is now being funded by the State's ODD fund.

Former Use: On October 20, 2004 Bernard and Beth-Anne Dube purchased the former Judys Pittstop. There after gas was sold from the existing 2 4,000 gallon tanks and 1 2,000 gallon tank. November of 2004 the Dubes had the tanks sandblasted, fiber glassed, new tops and fills put on. The Dubes continued to sell gas until May of 2008 when the price of gas reached a point that this small town store could no longer make a profit selling or competing in the gas business.
