1. If non-residential future use of property is desired the landowner may elect to file a conveyance notice w/ the Parish Clerk of Court that states that site conditions are suitable for industrial/ commercial use and that if land use changes to residential the responsible party shall notify LDEQ within 30 days and the site shall be reevaluated to determine if conditions are appropriate for proposed land use.
2. Conduct further site investigation activities under LDEQ's RECAP that prove site is suitable for residential use or further define or limit the scope of future remedial actions.

Additional Property Attributes

The subject property consists of 12 lots, which have all been acquired by a purchaser subsequent to the Phase II ESA. Redevelopment planning is in progress and a multi-unit mixed-income infill housing development has been proposed for the site.

Former Use: The site consists of 12 undeveloped lots bordered by undeveloped land to the west, south and north and railroad tracks to the east. In an interview the property owner stated that a utility company stored electrical transformers on the southeast corner of the property in the late 1980�s. Foundations for this equipment are evident within a fenced-in part of the site. All transformers have since been removed. One USGS observation well was observed on the site. Mr. Joseph Atiyah was the property owner at the time the Phase I and II ESA's were conducted.
