Additional Property Attributes

The site is generally rectangular in shape and comprises three parcels of commercial land with one building located on each parcel. Two of the buildings are currently vacant, and the third is occupied by Vickies Hair Designers. Based on the information obtained during this investigation and described in this document, Bullock found evidence of recognized environmental conditions associated with the site. The recognized environmental conditions or historical recognized environmental conditions identified in this report include the following: Localized surficial staining on the concrete located on the northern-most parcel A leaking 55-gallon drum containing used oil, empty fuel containers, and oil containers located behind the building on the northern-most parcel Four automobiles in various stages of disrepair located on the northern-most and middle parcels An open drain located in the floor of the building on the middle parcel Several empty paint cans located in a debris pile behind the building on the middle parcel Various containers of oil, fuel, and other potential contaminants located throughout the buildings on the northern-most and middle parcels and Gasoline stations were once present on both the northern-most and middle parcels. Since groundwater was not encountered at the site during this investigation, this report makes no conclusions with respect to groundwater quality however, based on the analytical results obtained from the soil sampling activities conducted at the site, it is unlikely that groundwater has been impacted. As a result, Bullock recommends no further assessment of groundwater at the site.

Former Use: The site is generally rectangular in shape and comprises three parcels of commercial land, each containing a building. Two of the parcels 235 and 251 Main Street South are vacant while the third 277 Main Street South is currently occupied by Vickies Hair Designers. Utilities servicing the site include electricity Alabama Power Company, telephone AT&T, natural gas, and water Graysville Water & Sewer. Considering the information obtained during the ESA, Bullock learned that portions of the site have been developed since at least the 1950s as commercial properties which included service stations. Various other commercial businesses have also been located on the site. Data gaps noted during the historical research included missing information in the property ownership history and missing city directory listings. These data gaps appear to be minor and should not affect the overall conclusions
