Sanborn Map of 1903 and 1994 showed the site to be improved with residential homes and retail/commercial buildings, but the situation of the site can be described as an underdeveloped parcel of land and situated within a mixed commercial /retail and residential area of the Columbia Heights neighborhood of N.E. Wasington DC. None of the Sanborn maps showed the site being occupied by gasoline stations, drycleaners, medical or dental officed or other industrial/manufacturing operations or evidence of USTs or AST.

Former Use: The site is currently underdeveloped land and situated within a mixed commercial /retail and residential area of the Columbia Heights neighborhood of N.E. Wasington DC. The site is overgrown with grass, weeds and small bushes with few gravel, crushed masonry materials and cinderblocks and some wood appeared scattered across. None of the Sanborn maps that was refered showed any evedence of the site being occupied by gasoline stations, drycleaners, medical or dental officed or other industrial/manufacturing operations or evidence of USTs or ASTs. The site appeared to be well maintained and no chemicals or hazardous materials wereobserved in the exterior. The site is owned by Howard University, c/o Risk Estate & Asset Management.
