Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The previous property owner performed limited environmental investigations related to former above and underground storage tank areas, such as the Former North Tank Farm, the Former Tank 11 Area, the Former Powerhouse Area, the Former MCI Tower Area (believed to have been associated with an underground storage tank, perhaps located in or near the Former Executive Garage). These tank-related investigations and activities were performed with oversight by the DNREC Tank Management Branch. The previous property owner had arranged for the installation and operation of a multi-phase extraction (MPE) system in the MCI Tower Area to remove free-phase gasoline and gasoline related substances from soil and groundwater. The MPE system was installed in 1990. Reportedly, the MPE system was shut down in 2001, after groundwater monitoring indicated that free-phase gasoline was no longer present on the groundwater table.
