Additional Property Attributes

The Property was initially developed as a grocery warehouse prior to 1926. Property use and historic documentation confirmed building construction and initial property development on the Property prior to 1926. Expansions to the facility are observed in documents and on maps and aerials from the mid-1940s through the early 1960s. The Property was continuously used for machining of metal reamers and die-sets since the mid-1940s until vacation of the facility in March 2004. The facility is currently vacant. The main building that previously housed equipment for the fabrication of reamers, die-sets, and cases used in machines and manufacturing for the automotive industry has been closed since March 2004. The facility is currently nonfunctional for manufacturing, as all equipment has been removed. The intended future use of the Property is commercial/light industrial. The Perry County Community Improvement Corporation currently intends to promote the facility for use by a small business operation consisting of a manufacturing/machining and assembly operations.
