Additional Property Attributes

This site was an approximately 1-acre tract of undeveloped land. The location of this site sits on the former Quarry Road right-of-way in the general vicinity of parcel previously addressed as 910 Quarry Road as well as portions of parcels previously addressed as 904 Quarry Road and 214 East 10th Street Coralville, Iowa. Apparent soil and groundwater impacts were observed at a geotechnical boring location being implemented as necessary for the installment of the future brewery building. This prompted the need for a Phase II ESA for the site, which detected but found no exceedances of statewide standards for VOCs, SVOCs, TEHs, or RCRA metals in soil, and found minor exceedances of statewide standards for 2 SVOCs and arsenic in groundwater. The state did not require any follow-up action on these findings. Construction of a brewery was completed on the property in summer of 2012. Property address is now identified as 903 Quarry Road.

Former Use: The proposed Backpocket Brewery site lays over a good portion of the former right-of-way for the old Quarry Road. This piece lies within the footprints of old parcels previously addressed as 910 and 904 Quarry Road as well as 214 East 10th Street.
