Additional Property Attributes

Coastline property with extensive mangrove swamp features along the main highway near a commercial port. Inland property will be ideal for commercial port type business.

Former Use: The site provided drummed fuel for all Guam military activities from 1940 to 1970. In 1940, the facility began operating as a drum storage, cleaning, and filling area. Typical operations included cleaning and patching of old drums, filling of drums with aviation gasoline, automobile gasoline or diesel fuel, storage of fuel in the aboveground storage tanks, and disbursement of fuel into 55-gallon drums. The area was completely abandoned by 1975. On April 11, 2001, the property was transferred from the Department of Navy DON to the Government of Guam under the Base Realignment and Closure BRACProgram.
