Al's Automotive & Truck Service Center is a family owned business centered around the automotive industry. They have 3 divisions under one roof. � A car shop caters to passenger vehicles, local contractors, and small fleets. � A truck and trailer shop specializes in heavy fleets, highway departments, fire apparatus, and delivery trucks of all sizes. � The towing and road service division provides towing services for our own shop as well as other area repair facilities. They offer towing, heavy equipment transport, accident scene restoration, and road service anywhere in the northeast. The business recently relocated to a larger facility and is currently seeking developers to purchase the Site or partner in its redevelopment.

Former Use: The Site consists of on four (4) parcels of land currently owned by Towitall, LLC located at #1, #9, #19, and #20 Franklin Street in Exeter, New Hampshire. Three of the properties (#1, #19, and #20 Franklin) have buildings and the other property (#9) is a lot that is used to park equipment and vehicles (large tow trucks) related to the business. Based on the residential and small commercial makeup of the surrounding area, the Site was historically used for residential or small scale commercial operations. Plan #9557 (circa 1980) on file at the Rockingham Registry of Deeds revealed that #1 Franklin Street was formerly operated as the �Car-go Home and Auto Centers, Inc.�. The name Car-go Home and Auto Centers, Inc. appears in deed references for #1 Franklin till 1975. This plan also revealed that that #20 and #19 Franklin Street were formerly residences. Researched deeds indicate that #9 Franklin Street was formerly known as Wetherell�s Garage (date uncertain). The following other names were noted in various records researched for the #1 Franklin Exeter Auto Mart (47�-54�), Philbrick Oldsmobile (54�-58�), Exeter Tire Center (66�-75�), and Mach I (82�->96�). This demonstrates a rich history of automotive repair use at these properties.
