Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property consists of 9.32 acres of undeveloped land. It is located on the west side of US Highway 281 at the intersection of US Highway 281 and Riverside Drive. The property is currently surrounded by mostly agriculture land. wooded area and the Southern Plains Region Bureau of Indian Affairs Building. Access to the property is via a fence in the northeast section along Highway 281. The subject property is currently not occupied by any buildings or structures. According to the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes of Oklahoma and the Anadarko Agency Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), the property being assessed in this Phase I ESA was allotted to the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma, the Delaware Tribe of Oklahoma, and Wichita and Affiliated Tribes of Oklahoma (which will be referred as WCD)from the United States Department of Interior.The Wichita and Affiliated Tribes of Oklahoma have determined that an additional set aside of the Restored Lands for each Tribe's individual and exclusive use is necessary to provided for the continued growth progress and advancement of the tribes. The WCD set aside a total of 600 acres of Restored Lands which would incorporate lands set aside previously by Tribal Resolution except for the 10 acres to use dedicated to used by the Rock Springs Baptist Church. The Wichita and Affiliated Tribes received 180 acres, the Caddo Tribe received 312 acres, and the Delaware received 108 acres. The Title was to be transferred from all three tribes to each individual tribe. All three tribes agreed to the Tribal Resolutions to the land use for the individual tribes.
