Additional Property Attributes

The property is home to an historic movie theater dating to 1939. Currently owned by the City of Balitmore, the theater is being sold to a private operator who is in the process of renovating the site. Site assessment activities were necessary due to the presence of an old underground storage tank that needed to be addressed prior to commencing the redevelopment process. During the investigation, a 1,200 gallon heating oil UST was discovered. The tank was abandoned appropriately and samples taken around and beneath it determined that there was no resulting soil contamination.

Former Use: The property has been a theater since its construction in 1939. Ownership has been assumed by the City following the financial difficulties of the previous owner.
