Additional Property Attributes

The Bush Recycling property was purchased in April 2004 by the City of Florence. The City of Florence has entered into a Voluntary Cleanup Contract with the South Carolins Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) for this property. All scrap metal and recycling material will be removed from the property by July 2005. (PPF attached to QR 5, 10/1/04-12/31/04) The city received approval to conduct Phase II field activities according to the QAPP from EPA Region 4 and SCDHEC. Phase II field activities were conducted on the property from February 23-25, 2005. (PPF attached to QR 6, 1/1/05-3/31/05) The Phase II assessment report was completed on June 16, 2005. (PPF attached to QR 7, 4/1/05-6/30/05) Plans for additional assessment activities on the property are underway. It is anticipated that the additional assessment activities will be completed by SCDHEC. (PPF attached to QR 8, 7/1/05-9/330/05) Former Use: Scrap yard, metal recycling facility
