Additional Property Attributes

The University of Washington purchased this property in 1993. The property redevelopment involved demolition of an existing commercial building and creation of 0.275 acres of green space. During redevelopment activities approximately 3,700 cubic yards of petroleum contaminated soil was removed from the property. Residual petroleum contaminated soils and groundwater remain at the property and will be addressed in-situ in the Brownfields Cleanup Grant. (PPF - Shaub-Ellison Parcel, 2/10/05) In-situ aerobic groundwater treatment and soil bioventing treatment systems are in place at the property currently and are expected to remain operational for approximately five to 10 years. (PPF - Shaub-Ellison Parcel, 6/21/07)
