This Site is characterized as a vacant land and its location within residential area and numerous Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) sites might be a very good reason to consider the facility as a REC

Former Use: The Site is a vacant grass covered lot located adjacent to the southeast of the intersection of 12th Street NW and W Street, NW. It is located in an area of Washington DC characterized by residential development. It is boarded to the north by W Street followed by a residential developmemt; to the east by the True Gospel Baptist Church and residential developmemt; to the south by residential development and to the west by12th Street NW followed by residential development. The past uses of the Site as determined by a review of reasonably ascertainable historical information dating back to 1903 has consisted of a coal and wood yard from at at least 1903 to about 1984. From at least 1948 until 1991 the site consisted of residential and medical office uses. In 1991, the site was cleared and has remained vacant land to the present day. The property is currently owned by the True Gospel Baptist Church.
