Additional Property Attributes

Drive through retail is being redeveloped on the fore Lime Storage Cleanup site. Anticipated creation of 12 jobs in retail.

Former Use: The Lime Storage site is two properties: 1) Uplands property; 2) Tidelands property. The Upland property consists of upland area. Tribal Trust (Swinomish Tribe). Uplands (approx. 1 acre were contaminated with metals and dioxin furans during a period when property was leased to a business that stored agricultural amendments (primarily lime). The 2nd Property for the Lime Storage site is the Tidelands property which contains derelict creosote treated pilings as well as a pier that the Tribe desires to rehabilitate (also on creosote treated pilings). Some of the pilings were associated with the lime storage facility, others remained from a U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) project which filled tidelands in the area.
