Additional Property Attributes

GW monitoring wells were installed to evaluate the impact to both on and off-site shallow GW.

Former Use: Site most currently used as a cafnd gas station, although the business has recently closed. Currently there are three underground storage tanks (USTs) on the site; a 4,000 gallon premium, a 10,000 gallon regular, and a 4,000 gallon diesel. There are two USTs that are permanently out of use, a 1,000 gallon regular and 1,000 gallon diesel. There was a confirmed release reported to DEQ by EarthTouch, Inc. (Consultants) on 4/19/2013. The release was detected in a GW well EarthTouch drilled while conducting a Limited Subsurface Investigation (Phase II Environmental Site Assessment, ESA). Cause was unknown as was the source. The current owners have gone through an Ability to Pay process and have demonstrated an inability to pay. The current owners acquired the property in 1997. The northeastern portion of the site has contained gasoline service stations since 1923. USTs from this portion of the site were removed in 2003, area currently vacant and covered by gravel. Site also operated as automobile sales and repair shops from the 1940s through the 70s. Site has also operated as convenience stores, restaurant, a flower shop, and a liquor store from the 70s to present.
